Day 150: June 1st - Children FIRST!

Right in the middle of the calendar year, there it is - June 1st :)))) Today is the day we celebrate children. It's sunny, and bright, and carefree, just the perfect day to get your children, or other people's children, to the park, to the cinema, the playground, or simply let them have as much ice-cream as they ask for! I'm in love with children and everything there's out there about them starting with sweets, clothes and shoes, movies, and last but not least - toys! I feel good around them, I want to squeeze them, play with them and take photos of them all day long. But you must have guessed that by now.

Today's photo was not taken by me. It was taken by a 4 year old friend of mine, called Tsveti. I bought the doll as a gift for her, and in return she named it after me! Nobody ever did that :))))))
I wish more children are having the time of their lives and living the childhood dreams of their parents!

Day 148: Contrasts & Complements

Different or alike, parents are what they are. They like the same things, and they like different things. They are a contrast and a complement to each other. Parents make children, and children make parents someday, too.
If you are lucky to have great parents like mine, you must be blessed with eternal happiness.
I hope my children think the same of me one day.

Day 141: Yoana

A month ago I met Yoana. She is sweet, smart, enthusiastic, happy, and adorable. She is also my boyfriend's favorite little girl. I realized that the moment I saw her running towards him for a hug. It's so obvious with those two :)))
I love the sincerity in her every word, look, and gesture.
Looking forward to seeing her in a year, when she comes back to Bulgaria a year taller, smarter, sweeter, and probably a tiny bit more English :))

Last photo was taken by Misho.

Day 104: Portrait of Tanaya

Tanaya is a pretty little girl, a real missy with a model attitude :)

Day 103: Portrait of Liliya

In my previous two posts I talked about the portraits I did for a group of children in a kindergarten in Sevlievo. Here's the portraits we got that day :))

Liliya looks just like her name - she is a real flower already :))

Day 102: the TV hour

When I arrived at the kindergarten those little cuties were scattered all around the room. They were like little bugs crawling around, almost bumping into each other, everyone's attention dragged towards a different direction.

A few minutes later, one of the daycare ladies turned on the TV and played some educational animation. I can't describe how fast it caught their attention. They all went over to sit down in a straight row and watch it altogether. They didn't need any help or invitation.

Here's a snapshot of that disciplined group of young TV fans.

Day 101: peek-a-boo

At the end of February I did a portrait session for some cute little boys and girls at a kindergarten in my hometown. The purpose of the photos was to make Mother's day cards for the mommies for the 8th of March.

Before we started with the portraits I took a couple of photos just as I arrived, and I love the sincerity of the moments I captured. I would love doing that again and again...

Children are full of this pure energy, and they have so much to share with us :))))))

Day 99: a child's gift

I think the best gift a child could own is curiosity. It's the driving force of their intellectual and physical development. And it makes them ask all those cute little why-why questions :))))

Ivayla wanted the box opened as soon as possible, and she got what she asked for ;)) The gift, however, was brought from her for someone else, way younger to be able to do it by herself... :)))

Day 76 - Joy of ♥ 11: dreams

Next topic is dreams.

Children dream all the time. The older we grow, the less we tolerate dreaming. We try to stay in the present time and fight whatever we are faced with. And we forget about dreaming, thinking now it's not the right time. But that's wrong, because there's never a right time.

Dreams are the fastest escape from reality. They cost nothing, and are as mobile as we are, as brave as we wish... And we can go as far as we push. (my most favorite quote =D)

My sweet little friend Emilie brings a notebook and a bag of color pencils every time we meet. She loves to draw and I love watching her unveiling her imagination on the empty pages. I am sure the dreams in her head are wonderful and colorful, just like her drawing notebook.

Day 41 - Doll Story

This adorable 2-year-old creature is called Patrisia, and I met her this past weekend. She is a very happy and pretty little girl, and her face is talking to me all the time!
Definitely one of my favorite little models so far, and more photos coming in the following posts :)))))
