Day 160: Jardin Majorelle

When me and my friends went to Marrakesh just a year ago, I can clearly remember the hot and sticky good-for-siesta-only weather over there...We rented some bikes on the street and did a bicycle tour around town with destination point the YSL Gardens. Beautiful. My memories are bright blue and full of palms and charms. Feels like a breath of fresh air in the middle of this sun-abundant place on earth.

I thought this would be an appropriate post to mark the end of June and to ask for sun and bright blue with the first days of July!

Happy summer days, everyone!

Day 159: Wood-chopping

What is it with guys and wood-chopping? ;)

This one reminded me of how adventurous I used to go for things when I was little, and how much I've abandoned this tendency by trying to look like an adult..."you must already", my father often says ;D

Day 158: Grandpa

The one and only, unique, kind and amusing grandpa Ivan :))))

Day 157: Cold, black frappe

The student town of Sofia is becoming more and more attractive to me. Every summer all the best cafes around get upgraded to a better version of themselves. And although you would not expect students to be spending for the upscale-looking comfort, it still exists and competes in the area, and guess what..students are spending money on it! It's crowded all the time. And I love having my cold Nescafe Frappe somewhere in the middle of it.
I chose the frappes at Club 35, both because it's a zebra-walk away from my office, and because it's one of the coolest cafes this season. Just don't expect too much of good service, all the staff is made of students which says enough in itself, just be patient ;)

Day 156: Sivcho on the move

I decided to put this one up because it's dirty and wet, yet dynamic in a way, and of course, it has diagonals, and somewhat satisfies the rule of the golden thirds ;)
Oh, and yes, I do like this cat a lot :)))

Day 155: Sivcho

Pretty isn't he? :)))))
This is the most sociable and huggable kitten I've met :) Not afraid of the camera...like at all!

Day 154: Roses are pink...

I remember admiring photos of this type when I was younger. They would appear on notebooks for school, on photo album covers, or just on romantic postcards. I should sit and apply some texture techniques on some of these and see what happens...oh well, when I find the time!

Day 153: Roses are white...

Roses, apart form everything else, look fabulous under the rain. It's as if they are having a day at the spa with a hydration therapy all free of charge :)) I know flowers are trivial and girly, but I still enjoy photographing them.
Look forward to more of these in the following posts.

Day 152: Happy Birthday, Desi!

Today is the birthday of one of my best friends. She is the kind of person who is always optimistic and can easily make your day. She also has so many crazy ideas for photoshoots that it's a pitty we don't have the time to make them all happen :)

I wish her to keep smiling and loving life!
Happy birthday, Desi! :)))

Day 151: Tsveti P.

She is one of the kindest and most gentle creatures I've ever met. She speaks way more sophisticated you would expect of her age, and she speaks a lot! She is raised with so much love that she gives love to everyone she meets! And as the famous Bulgarian song goes "...and let there be one more good creature standing next to every good creature.. Let it be, let it be."

Meet Tsveti, who took the photo of the doll in the post from Day 150 all by herself.

Day 150: June 1st - Children FIRST!

Right in the middle of the calendar year, there it is - June 1st :)))) Today is the day we celebrate children. It's sunny, and bright, and carefree, just the perfect day to get your children, or other people's children, to the park, to the cinema, the playground, or simply let them have as much ice-cream as they ask for! I'm in love with children and everything there's out there about them starting with sweets, clothes and shoes, movies, and last but not least - toys! I feel good around them, I want to squeeze them, play with them and take photos of them all day long. But you must have guessed that by now.

Today's photo was not taken by me. It was taken by a 4 year old friend of mine, called Tsveti. I bought the doll as a gift for her, and in return she named it after me! Nobody ever did that :))))))
I wish more children are having the time of their lives and living the childhood dreams of their parents!
