Day 136: The Royal Sunshine

Okay, I admit it! I couldn't help but watch it. And it was soooo good! I mean, it really is a fairytale isn't it?

I got an invitation by the local TV stations to sit on my couch and watch the whole wedding ceremony, so I took a front seat on this one. It's curiosity that drove me this far. And I am glad I had the chance to watch it. It made me fall in love with love even more than before, and it made me dreaming of the dress, the shoes and all the sophisticated nodding and waving...I wish I was in the princess' shoes right there, right now! Or if I can't be the princess, can I at least be her friend?! When I was 15 I had a crush on the prince, but I guess long distance doesn't do any good to anyone, so I had to focus on boyfriends in the area. Well, I let Kate have him, and I couldn't be happier ;D She's so beautiful and adorable, you just want to be by her side all the time. The British Royal Family got lucky once again, because they have a real Miss Sunshine by their side. This time let's hope it's going to last forever and ever after.

Congratulations on the wedding Catherine and William!

P.S. I am so jealous of those photographers who got to shoot the wedding! Anyway, one prince down, one still single.. ;)

Day 135: Tulip with an attitude

To all the red tulips out there.
Be different. Get an attitude. Grow some thorns. Make some noise. Walk away with pride. Don't just be a red tulip. Be a red tulip with an attitude!

Day 134: Lazy Sunday, Lazy Monday

I shot this photo on Sunday, but it applies to Monday as well, since it feels like Sunday all day anyway.. ;)
Today was lazy with a capital L...And I think I was not all alone.
Sundays should be twice a week. I know you're all thumbs up ;)

Happy Lazy Monday!

Day 133: Happy Easter! ...Христос Воскресе!

Happy Easter + Христос Воскресе!

Easter is one of my favorite holidays because it's in spring, food is great, and families gather to spend the day together. This year it's even better, because in one of the traditional egg fights I became the winner...I think it's my first, actually...Well, thank you, purple egg! You totally made my day :D

I hope you had a great Easter rest and it filled you with energy, and you are now ready for all the good things that are coming to you!

Day 132: The surprise bag

Yesterday we got a pleasant surprise. In the late afternoon we had a bag with chocolate treats delivered from abroad literary in our hands.
It made me and my family feel really happy and thankful for the thoughtfulness of the friends who sent this. That's why I decided I would take a photo and share it on my blog.
THANK YOU for the great surprise (you know who you are!) :))))) We would take really good care of all that chocolate, you know :D

Looking forward to meeing you very soon.. :)))))

Day 131: The bad boys bday party

It was a hell of a birthday party last night.
Here's a sneak peak for those who went home early and missed all the fun.. ;)

Day 130: Happy birthday, Misho!

A very special happy birthday to my very special boyfriend! :)))))
To many more cheers, hugs, smiles, adventures, kisses, and not so many misses! ♥♥♥

Day 129: Happy Flowers Day!

Yaaaaay! It's Flowers Day! And it's also my name day.
Today I got so many nice and warm wishes that it made my heart melt like vanilla ice-cream.
I was on the road today and moved around a lot, but I managed to get home before sunset and snap a couple of photos in our neighbors' garden.
Oh...Spring is a lovely time of the year!

Day 128: Santiago Bernabeu meets Me ;)

It was a good game tonight. Two of the best Spanish teams were on fire. Barcelona almost kicked Real Madrid's a**. I wish I could be there at least for one of those derbies.
It reminded me of my visit to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid last spring with my mom and dad. It's the best stadium I've been at, and it felt amazing.

Mios dios, I miss that seat :))))

Day 127: Baby IQ

I believe babies don't just look smart. They are smart. I read somewhere that we all have high IQs when we are born, and we lose it somewhere on the way...it's such a pitty.. ;)
Little Miss Tsveti here is already 2 months old, and she definitely has some tricks of successfully calling attention to herself, mommy says. So curious to see her grow :))))

This one says "Milk, please!" ;)

Day 126: Briliantin Spring Ball 2011

There is a place in Sofia where retro music sounds good even to those who don't enjoy it that much. I am talking about a club with pleasant atmosphere, good-looking people, original drinks and classic retro music like nowhere else in Sofia. I'm talking about Briliantin (www.briliantin.com). This is the only place for non-chalga music in town, that keeps busy throughout the whole week, from my experience. And that's just another big reason I am taking a bow. There's just one disadvantage to it - it is never too big to fit all of its customers.

I was invited to their Spring Ball a couple of weeks ago and the party took place at a way bigger venue, not in the disco club itself. It was still cracking full and strangers would hug each other by trying to fit inside. The organizers had invited the C+C MUSIC FACTORY feat. FREEDOM WILLIAMS that rocked the audience. And of course, the breaker boys were a 10! :)))

P.S. Can't wait for the summer parties at Briliantin Sunny Beach... ;)

Day 125: Made in Home

A few weeks ago when we were counting the first warm days after the cold, cold winter, my friend Stella invited me for a Sunday coffee at a really nice, fresh and brand new cafeteria in Sofia downtown. It was so good I actually forgot I had my camera so I could make a post about it. So what can I do about it? I'm going again! :)))

Meanwhile, as it was such a wonderful Sunday weather outside that we took a walk until Stella figured she could take me to a different kind of new and very original restaurant for a late lunch. The place is called Made in Home (http://www.facebook.com/pages/MADE-IN-HOME/351358010611?v=photos#!/pages/MADE-IN-HOME/351358010611?sk=wall) and one can easily pass it by without paying attention, but once you get inside, you feel it's a different type of place. Like interiors, food is organic, and tastes a bit strange at first, but healthy after all. Everything is quite original, and the table we took was all stamped with authentic letters on paper from a real person to his family in the beginning of last century. If you are up for something different, you can check this one out.

Stella's photo was taken by Vlado.

Day 124: Put your martenitsa on a tree!

April has been here for 10 days already so it's about time you get your martenitsa hung on a tree!
Last Sunday I came across this big tree that looked like a Martenitsa Museum. Of course I hung my martenitsas over there. As I was taking my photo, a couple of guys who were passing by expressed their disapproval of doing this kind of harm to poor trees and called it "barbarian". I'm cool with people having opinions and sharing them.
However, I don't feel it's okay when it seems like some people feel traditions are no longer necessary. Well, I couldn't help but feel sorry for people who embrace foreign traditions in denial of their own.

And remember, even if you didn't see a stork, you can simply put it on a blooming tree :))))

Day 123: People, roads, automobiles...

I took this photo by accident at Alexander Malinov Blvd a couple of nights ago.
I have to admit I am quite cautious about being on the road - be it walking, driving or just taking the passenger seat. I am always alert and quite paranoid. I was trying to get some photos of a building on the boulevard and in order to get a nice perspective I had to step right in the middle of the street. Malinov blvd is relatively long and always busy, and I felt so fragile being in the middle of it. I don't recommend doing this if you have traffic issues like I do.

Nikon D60, 18-55mm.

Day 122: It's spring time!

I've been waiting for a while before those trees in my grandparents' garden finally started blooming...I can see bees couldn't agree more ;)))

Happy blooming! =D

Day 121: Karaoke fever

The last day of March I spent in Sevlievo.

We had a karaoke night to remember at one of the popular restaurants in town - "Vinchev" (www.restorantvinchev.com) I am a regular and I happen to know the owner, no recommendation needed for that one ;)
Karaoke can be a really embarrassing experience sometimes, but you shouldn't give up on it. You could be surprised not only by others, but by your own self. And remember, if you don't have the voice of Rihanna this doesn't mean you are not talented. It's just that you need to find the right song for you.

Karaoke is good for you, I promise :))) Just go somewhere and sing a song in front of your friends - if they like it they'll joke about it, if they don't like it they'll joke about it as well ;))
